Expertise

Manager Fieldwork Archaeology

I joined Wessex Archaeology as a Senior Project Manager in 2009, helping to establish the Sheffield office. I am primarily responsible for ensuring the delivery of fieldwork projects, liaison with clients, curatorial advisors and consultants and the production of client and publication reports. I work in a wide variety of sectors - energy, utility, housing and transport, and on a diverse range of site types, locations and periods. The range of major infrastructure projects that I have managed in my time at Wessex Archaeology include the current High Speed Two (HS2) rail project, Hornsea Project ONE, a 40 km cable route from Horseshoe Point to Killingholme, Lincolnshire, and Humber Gateway, a 30km pipeline from Easington to Salt End, East Riding.

My contributions to Wessex Archaeology publications include Bronze Age cremations at Countesthorpe and an Anglo-Saxon site at Coston, both of which are in Leicestershire, and a post-medieval tannery in Boughton, Chester. I have also been closely involved with community and education Higher Level Funding projects based in Tinsley, Sheffield, in conjunction with Heeley City Farm.
