Wessex Archaeology has a long history of working with educational institutions to deliver the facilities to cope with the increasing demands of a growing student population. As an educational charity, we are passionate about supporting the development of existing or new educational facilities through the provision of heritage services and advice.
We understand the constraints of this type of construction project in relation to budgets and outside of term-time programming needs. Our experience, knowledge and capacity allows us to work with the planning authorities to ensure that all of these factors are taken into account at scoping stage and that the timing of any required work is appropriate. We also offer a range of educational material designed to complement current curriculum requirements, practical student experiences and access to datasets/archive material to facilitate learning and knowledge sharing.
