Thomas Burt

I am part of the archives team based in Salisbury and have a background in terrestrial fieldwork, maritime archaeology and digital archaeology. My qualifications, background in the field, together with my experiences in working with Wessex and in commercial archaeology, have given me the skills and desire to work in archiving where I am especially focused on digital archaeological material. 

Currently I am responsible for collating and preparing archives temporarily housed at the Salisbury office, including liaison and co-ordination with recipient museums during transfer. I am also helping to formulate and standardise in-house digital archiving procedures, aimed at making the digital archive an accessible and useful resource in concordance with the archive as a whole. 

I am motivated by enabling archive use, reuse and value to Wessex and the wider community.
