Steve Beach

I joined Wessex Archaeology in 2001 and became a Project Manager in the Consultancy team in 2013. I specialise in providing consultancy advice for housing, energy and transport and infrastructure development. I am particularly experienced in the production of desk-based assessments, Environmental Statement chapters, Impact Assessments, archaeological management plans and monument condition surveys. I am also an experienced field archaeologist and have worked on a very wide variety of projects across Southern Britain including leading a team of field archaeologists undertaking a series of excavations of predominantly prehistoric and early 20th century military sites, in advance of the construction of new military tracks on Salisbury Plain.

I am motivated by interesting projects and successful outcomes and am a professionally accredited member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.

Outside of work I enjoy rugby, and spending time with my family.
