Stephanie Morris

I originally joined Wessex Archaeology’s terrestrial team based in Edinburgh in 2021. I am now part of a multidisciplinary team here, mainly working in the coastal and marine department. Originally from Australia I previously studied Maritime Archaeology at Flinders University in Adelaide and have participated in diving fieldwork in SE Asia.

As part of my multidisciplinary role, I am part of the community engagement team and help to deliver educational workshops across the country, a video champion, help run the Wessex Scotland twitter account and have recently received training in geophysical survey.

My main passion is in digital heritage and public outreach, aiming to make relationships to heritage more meaningful, especially those that are intangible, such as underwater sites and objects. 

In my personal time I find any excuse to be in or on the water, followed by warm bars and cold beer.
