Expertise

Geophysics

I joined Wessex Archaeology in 2018 as part of the Marine Geophysics team in Salisbury. In my role I undertake analysis of marine geophysical data, interpretation of features of archaeological interest and report on the results. I work primarily on large‑scale Offshore Wind Farm and aggregate extraction monitoring projects. On a daily basis I use ArcGIS, the CODAOctopus suite, Geometrics Magpick, and Fledermaus software.

My experience is diverse, beginning in voluntary terrestrial excavation and post-graduate study of experimental archaeology. I have undertaken aerial photographic analysis projects and have extensive experience with the HBSMR software and several GIS software packages.

My motivation is to create a comprehensive and spatially accurate interpretation of marine archaeological heritage for each project.

In my spare time I enjoy being creative through knitting or crochet, preferably with a cup of tea and my cat. To balance this, I keep active by running and cycling in the countryside.
