Richard Bradley

I started at Wessex Archaeology in early 2022 as part of the Research team, working on the post-excavation analysis and publication stages of archaeological projects.

Before joining Wessex Archaeology, I spent many years leading excavations on a wide range of both rural and urban sites across the country, but particularly in the midlands area. This experience established the wide range of skills and strategic approaches required for the interrogation of complex archaeological data, whilst also developing my interest in the research and analysis side of archaeological work.

I am motivated by the dissemination and promotion of archaeological knowledge, as well as engaging with people to demonstrate the value of archaeology more widely. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, listening to and playing music, and attending sporting events.
