Ralph Behr

I am the General Manager of Trident Archäologie, the German subsidiary company of Wessex Archaeology offering marine archaeological services to developers working in the Baltic Sea and North Sea.

Before joining Trident, I worked for 20 years as an IT director and certified project manager in a variety of industries. I have successfully managed projects ranging from a high availability data centre for a securities bank to multi-million-euro engineering projects in the energy sector.

My educational background from universities in Edinburgh and Bamberg (Germany) includes an M.A. in medieval archaeology, prehistory and historical building research. I am also a certified scientific diver and have worked in underwater archaeology for several years prior to my career as a project manager.

I hold the most industry-recognized certification for project managers worldwide, the PMP (Project Management Professional) by the Project Management Institute, in addition to other certifications in PRINCE2 and ITIL.

Outside of work I am passionate about music and I enjoy sailing and biking whenever my professional life and my commitment as a member of the local town council leave me some spare time.
