Expertise

Inclusion, Community & Education

I joined the Engagement team as an Engagement and Inclusion Project Coordinator in 2024. Previously an archaeologist out in the field, I moved to Wessex Archaeology from the construction industry where I engaged with the public on a large infrastructure project.

In my role as an Engagement and Inclusion Officer, I aim to deliver community engagement that is diverse in nature and audience, while being as accessible as possible. I believe that getting involved in heritage has many benefits, and can provide many transferable skills for all ages and groups.

I started my working life in the heritage sector, having gained a degree in History from the University of Lincoln, and then working at a historic lighthouse on the Kent coast, guiding groups of keen tourists up and down the many flights of steps!

When I’m not working in heritage, I am often volunteering on community Archaeology digs, visiting historic sites or attending historical talks. I also love walking in nature and spending an evening with a book.
