Matt Kendall

As part of my role as a fieldwork archaeologist in the Salisbury office, I am currently Site Director of the archaeological investigations at Sherford, Plymouth where I organise the day to day running of the work and liaise with the developers, consultants and the local authority. Since joining Wessex Archaeology in 2006, I have worked on a variety of projects, including both large scale infrastructure projects and numerous smaller scale evaluations and excavations. 

I have given a number of talks to local archaeological and other societies on a range of subjects and I am motivated by the fact that every day we find something new to expand our understanding of previous societies and cultures.

While not at work, I enjoy the countryside and take an interest sport, as well as visiting historic and archaeological sites.
