Expertise

Geophysics

I’m based in the Sheffield office as a Terrestrial Geophysical Technician. I’m very much hands on with all the equipment, performing surveys with a variety of magnetometers, resistance meters, GPRs, ERTs and EMTs, even a bit of metal detecting. I joined Wessex in January 2021 and have been having a great time so far learning lots of new skills.

I graduated with a BSc in Archaeology from the University of Leicester mid pandemic in 2020, and went straight into digging with Oxford Archaeology in Lancashire before switching to Wessex. I’m happy I can put my collective archaeological, practical and physical skills into a fun job, and I look forward to seeing where my career ends up.

I’ve become a STEM Ambassador to help spread awareness and understanding of Archaeology in schools and clubs, which is becoming more and more important as University Departments across the country face the threat of closure. Through this I can bring my skills in education from teaching for 2 years into my work.

Outside of work I’m a musician, cyclist, and lover of video games.
