Expertise

Research Specialist

My background is in field archaeology and in environmental processing. I joined the Research team in Salisbury as a Research Supervisor to provide support with production of post-excavation reports, write archaeological summaries for journals, produce publications, and to assist with administrative activities.

My main archaeological interests lie in the Neolithic and Bronze Age periods, and in particular their ceremonial and funerary landscapes. I am a strong advocate of proactive archaeological outreach, which I think is particularly important for education now that Archaeology has ceased to be an option at secondary school.

Outside of work I enjoy yoga, cooking, gardening (I prefer cabbages to roses), yomping around prehistoric landscapes and I have recently discovered the ‘whodunnit’ addictiveness of Agatha Christie.
