Expertise

Director

I firmly believe that each one of us can contribute to a sustainable future, and as Wessex Archaeology’s Sustainability Director my mission is to create a lasting difference within our organisation and beyond. Together, we can drive positive change, paving the way towards a more environmentally responsible and sustainable future.

Before joining Wessex Archaeology, I was the Group Head of Property Management at Clarks Shoes, managing a substantial portfolio of nearly a million square feet of property across the UK, America, and Asia. Working in a multicultural environment, I delivered innovative solutions to foster sustainable practice.

As well as significant Logistics Management experience in the automotive and retail sectors, with expertise in just-in-time deliveries to car manufacturing lines and bespoke delivery and warehousing solutions for large retail clients, I expanded my skill set to include Project Management. When delivering projects across the UK and Europe, including major building refurbishments and large-scale electrical infrastructure upgrades, often involving listed buildings, I consistently incorporated environmentally friendly initiatives and energy-efficient practices.

The journey on these complex projects, coupled with leading and managing diverse teams, has driven me towards a career dedicated to sustainability. As Sustainability Director, my ambition is aligned with the company's vision to achieve NetZero by 2030—a bold, forward-thinking, and socially responsible objective. My role is to empower our teams to integrate sustainable practices throughout our organisation and develop ways to reduce our impacts as a business, including on our sites, in our offices, and via our supply chain through sustainable procurement practices.
