Emma Bakel

I'm a Project Communications Specialist at Wessex Archaeology and I deliver integrated PR, media engagement and multimedia content campaigns across the organisation's many projects from within the Communications team.

I have more than 8 years' experience working in marketing and communications, the majority of those have been spent working in the heritage and culture sectors including roles at MOLA and the Royal Society of Arts.

It's really important to me to have variety in my work. I'm at my most productive and creative when my week involves a healthy mix of all the best parts of my job - meeting people, moving around, getting out on to sites and hearing from experts who are super passionate about their subject.

Creativity, yoga and being outside are all very important parts of my life outside work, so I try to make time wherever I can to visit art galleries and exhibitions, draw and paint, practice yoga as well as swim, hike and work on my garden as much as possible.
