Expertise

Geoarchaeology & Environmental

I joined Wessex Archaeology's Salisbury office as an environmental lab technician in 2022. My role involves processing and sorting environmental samples and preparing them for further lab analysis.

I am particularly fascinated by the ways that humans both perceived and interacted with wetland landscapes throughout Prehistory. I have a strong interest in the reconstruction of these landscapes, specifically through the use of beetle remains. This helps to reveal the changes in environment throughout the period of site formation and subsequent use to help understand how humans influenced and altered the landscape for specific purposes (e.g., occupation or ritual).

In my spare time I enjoy reading, crochet, and cooking. I also spend a lot of time desperately trying to keep my collection of houseplants alive.
