Alongside my work with the Coastal & Marine team, I also volunteer for the Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology (AIMA). AIMA is an organisation for anyone interested in maritime archaeology. Our members are professional maritime archaeologists, SCUBA divers, historians, photographers, students, academics, historical archaeologists, conservation scientists, and anyone interested in this fascinating aspect of our heritage. I have several roles within the association including Vice President, head of the Social Media team and member of the Scientific Diving Committee.

My recent work has focused on updating the AIMA Constitution in line with changing legislation in Australia and representing AIMA at expos and international events such as the UNESCO NGO meeting in Paris last month. Running social media is the most demanding task of all, but I work with a fantastic team and it is a wonderful opportunity for me to keep up-to-date with news in Australasia. I am honoured to be involved in AIMA and to be trusted to represent the Australasian maritime archaeological community on an international stage.
