The archaeology begins to emerge ... and when it does there are (as usual) about 10 phases of stonework at once. The new stuff in the foreground is Iron Age (Pictish), including a line of orthostats forming the inner wall of one phase of a structure, whilst peeking out from under the black tarp is part of the corridor wall of the Neolithic monument ... deep stratigraphy in a glorious rural setting!
