Wessex Archaeology is delighted to announce the opening of a new regional office in Bristol, situated in the Temple Quay area at the heart of one of the UK’s most vibrant and productive cities. This expansion will allow us to build upon our long track record of working in the West of England, and the successful growth of business that we have experienced in the area. It also brings us closer to our many existing clients as well as creating a presence in one of the region’s most important centres.

The office will be led by Andy King who has extensive knowledge of the  archaeology of the region and a detailed understanding of the local planning context having had many years of professional practice in the area. With support from our network of offices, we will deliver our comprehensive range of archaeological and heritage management services. Clients will have access to local expertise backed by the reassurance and resources of a national organisation.

Chris Brayne, Chief Executive said "We find that companies in the South West are open, innovative and ambitious. Our mix of expertise, technical capacity and flexibility means we can make very positive contributions to their projects. It will be great to be able to deliver more  local products and services to our Customers."
