Glorious sunshine and Iron Age roundhouses drew crowds to Ridgeway Farm last Saturday.

Over 150 people from the local community came along to the open day to explore the excavation, view artefacts from the site and speak to the archaeologists about their finds. Younger visitors were entertained by the Ridgeway Farm activity sheet.

Sponsored by Taylor Wimpey and organised by Wessex Archaeology, the open day was an excellent opportunity for local people, including the local MP for South Swindon, Robert Buckland, to explore their heritage and was well received by all.
