Some of the recent discoveries from the 2013 excavations are reported in the latest Windsor Express. These include the excavation of a Bronze Age (1500 BC) farmstead and fields, and another section of the Romano-British farm that was investigated in previous years. These discoveries are helping to build a picture of how the landscape developed over the last 10,000 years, of how people lived and how they farmed the land. This year we have found a small number of graves of the people that lived in the two settlements. Just like today some people were buried in graves and others were cremated.
