Members of the Geoarchaeology team have been out in Northern Ireland for a fortnight, enjoying the bracing local conditions and spectacular scenery, whilst augering a number of peat bogs as part of the A26 improvement works between Ballymena and Ballymoney.
We understand that their excavation strategy extended beyond the peat bogs themselves, and included some well-earned and extensive sampling of the famous local beverages.
