We are pleased to introduce Shoned Jones as our new Geomatics Supervisor for Wessex Archaeology West, based at out Bristol office.
Shoned joins the company with strong experience in the industry’s developing technologies. Her role sits within the organisation’s specialist surveying capability, with the aim of supporting the team to gather and process key geographic data for clients within a wide range of sectors. She will also be responsible for advancing the team’s technical capabilities, ensuring that we continue to lead the industry in this area.
“I am very excited to be starting my position as Geomatics Supervisor in the Bristol office. This position is something I have been looking for since my entry into commercial archaeology over three years ago.
My interest in Geomatics started during my post-graduate studies in forensic archaeology and I have been fascinated with the ever-developing integration of new recording technologies into archaeology in the UK and abroad ever since.
I have a background in field archaeology but have relished working in Geomatics whenever I got the chance, so I am extremely pleased to be starting the position at a company such as Wessex Archaeology.”
