Last week, staff from Kier Group visited Wessex Archaeology’s head office in Salisbury for a training course in the role of archaeology in the planning process.
The half-day course featured talks by a range of WA specialists who provided insight into such topics as an introduction to the archaeology of Britain, archaeological methods and processes and the ways in which effective community engagement can benefit development schemes. Relevant legislation was also discussed, in relation to recent case studies. The team from Kier then toured the office, visiting the finds processing room, drawing office and environmental services department before tucking into a well-deserved lunch.

Feedback from this course has been very positive, with several members of the Kier team commenting on how useful and interesting they found it. To discuss the ways in which we can support your company please contact us
