This week I have been helping Marie Kelleher our Senior Heritage Consultant, prepare for our upcoming London & South East Open Day on Saturday 15 September 2018. People are invited along to see what goes on in the background whilst people are digging holes on site.
If you ever wondered how we know where to dig?
How does geophysics work?
What does the inside of a portaloo look like? . . . . . I know – it wasn’t my idea!
What do we do with the artefacts that come back from site?
What does a Regional Manager actually do?
To find out answers to these questions and many more please feel free to drop in!
Archaeologists will also be on hand to answer your every easy question. I will be there too if you wanted to say hello – I won’t reply though for obvious reasons. We will also have activities for children such as dressing up sand pit excavation and a mini heritage trail.

See you soon
