There's more to archaeology than digging! Join Wessex Archaeology's London & South East regional team to explore what archaeologists do when they are not on site; from desk based research to finds processing.
A rare opportunity to get behind the scenes and see inside a working archaeological office to get an idea of what goes on day-to-day. There will be informal displays showing what archaeologists do; how we find sites, what we use when on site and what we do when we get back from site. There will also be activities for children including dressing up and sand box excavations, plus a mini heritage trail. Our professional archaeology team will be on hand to answer your questions and reveal the secrets of their day jobs.
